The Happiest Place on Earth

After months of preparation, we finally made the trek down to Disney World on September 17th. We stopped off in Tifton to say hi to Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Matt and Aunt Stacie, and our cousin Abbigail. We got to feed the newest member of the farm, Lucky. He drinks bottles!
After a fun dinner, we headed off to bed so that we could wake up super early and get on the road to DISNEY WORLD! We left Tifton around 8am and were on our way. Jack and Ben seem to do better with me in the back seat so I got stuck in "backseatmiddlefeetonthehump" for four hours. (Note to Patrick, Joe, and Michael: Not as bad as 12 hours in "the pit" )
We made it to the AllStar Movie Resort around noon. Just in time for Ben and I to take a nap and for Nate and Jack to go play putt putt. Afterwards we got up and headed to the pool. The boys had fun splashing around with Daddy and Goofy.
We went to Downtown Disney for dinner and ate at Planet Hollywood. It was super fun and loud which worked well for the boys. We walked around for a little while after dinner and headed back to the hotel to rest up for our first day at Magic Kingdom. I got the boys Power Ranger PJs and myself TinkerBell sleep pants. As much as Ben and I love vacationing in Florida, our hair does not!
We woke up the next morning at the crack of dawn and took the shuttle bus to Magic Kingdom. Being the planner that Nate is, he looked at the map before the park opened and decided our best bet would be to hit Frontier Land first. Our first ride was Splash Mountain, which my loving husband assured me I "wouldn't get too wet". LIAR!
That was the boys favorite ride by far. Ben refers to it as the waterfall ride. Yes, utilizing the right pair of tennis shoes, Ben was able to ride all the rides except for Space Mountain. We had the best time at Magic Kingdom. The weather was not too hot and there were no lines! We got to ride pretty much every thing we wanted. The boys got to meet one of their all time favorites, Buzz Lightyear. We stayed late for the fireworks. They were amazing.
The next day we headed to MGM. It was drizzling a little bit, but that did not damper the Sanders Family Spirit. We separated a little here since Ben wanted to do the Playhouse Disney thing and Jack was interested in the Star Wars Flight Simulator. We still met up for lunch before Ben and I headed back for our daily nap. While we were sleeping, Nate and Jack were able to see the new stunt show which Jack (and Nate) loved. For dinner, it was Pizza Planet. Not as cool as in the movie, but the boys loved it none the less.
Thursday morning it was back to Magic Kingdom. We had to ride all of our favorite rides again; the "waterfall ride", Big Thunder Railroad, Space Mountain. Which, FYI, there is nothing scarier than Space Mountain with your six year old. Who you can't see. Because it is pitch black. And he is screaming. After the ride, I found out they were screams of joy. He has proceeded to tell everyone how "Mommy kept grabbing me from her seat and yelling,'if you get scared just close your eyes. That is what I am doing'." Hilarious.
After 12 straight hours at the park it was time to head home. We woke up Friday and drove straight through. The kids had such a great time. It was so exciting to see their faces every time we saw a character walking the streets. We can't wait to go back!
Apparently, I can only attach so many pictures to one post, so I will create a new post with more.
